Wild Berry Black Tea

Wild Berry Black Tea is dark, striking and tempting. The base is black tea leaves which are sun-dried and then oxidised, giving them a dark colour as they form into brittle, convoluted shapes. Interspersed in the blend are plump dark blue blueberries, purple-black currants and blackberries. Hints of green mint add a refreshing finish.

Health Benefits

Reducing your caffeine levels encourages a healthier lifestyle. Drinking black tea offers up to 50% less caffeine as an instant health benefit. Your stress levels reduce, your blood pressure stabilises, and you attain a greater sense of overall calmness and control. Black tea is rich in carotene, vitamin A, magnesium, potassium and other nutrients. It aids with digestion and promotes appetite. The flavonoids found in black tea can help eliminate free radicals. Regular consumption of black tea can also help regulate blood sugar. Black tea can be enjoyed as a breakfast tea, helping to maintain and stabilise energy levels through the day. It aids in digestion and prevents that afternoon energy dip. Over time, black tea slows down the effects of ageing and helps to ward off diseases like cancer and Alzheimer’s.

Blueberries have very high antioxidant levels. Antioxidants protect your body from free radicals which damage cells, eventually leading to diseases.

Blackcurrants can reduce bad cholesterol and increase good cholesterol levels in the blood. This improves blood flow to the heart and reduces the risk of heart attacks and strokes.

Blackberries provide a large part of the required daily dosage of Vitamin K. Vitamin K helps bone metabolism, strengthening bones, preventing bone thinning and helping to minimise fractures.

Mint is known to soothe digestion and cramps. It also eases headaches. Mint is a great perk-me-up, boosting alertness and decreasing feelings of anxiety. Wild Berry Tea has moderate levels of caffeine.
