Approx capacity, depending on the kind of tea:
4cm – 10g of tea leaves
5cm – 15g of tea leaves
7cm – 25g of tea leaves
Capacity will differ when you use it with herbal tea as flower and fruit sizes vary.
Please make sure you pat it dry before putting it away. This is made of 304 stainless steel.
200 series: You may often find stainless steel food containers made from 200 series stainless steel. These are typically less expensive than 304 grade as manufacturers essentially substitute manganese for nickel. Although food safe, they are not as resistant to corrosion and not as high quality as 304 grade.
When your tea ball starts to tarnish or you see rust forming, mix a tablespoon of baking soda with 2 cups of water and rub the solution on the affected area using a toothbrush.
