Roasted Barley Tea

Roasted Barley grains have a luscious earthy brown colour. They are round and plump with slightly elongated ends. You will notice that these grains are unhulled – they still have their seed coats on.

How does it taste?

Roasted Barley grains, when infused in boiling water, creates a wonderful, clear rich, dark yellow hue. The taste is mellow and slightly nutty, reminiscent of brown rice, with a hint of bitter undertones. This lovely tea is great served hot on a Winter’s evening or served cold, in a tall glass filled with ice cubes on a hot summer day.

A relaxing way to start or end your meal. I have found the tea most Japanese restaurants serve as their house tea. SO YUMMY!
