Dried Aloe leaves are elongated and brittle, coloured in tones of earthy brown, tan, sepia and pale gold. The leaves twist during the drying process and take on lovely shapes that range from spirals to curls, corkscrews and scrolls.

How does it taste?

Be lulled by the delicate yellow-golden hue of the liquor and then be prepared for a smack of bitterness! Aloe Leaf Tea is best steeped with a touch of palm sugar to cut through the robust and tangy tart, bitter aftertaste. It is aptly named from the Arabic word Alloeh – shining bitter substance!



Health Benefits of Aloe Tea

Aloe Tea is known for a plethora of health benefits and dates back to the Pharaohs of Egypt. It aids digestion, keeps gums healthy and stabilises blood sugar levels. It also has detoxifying properties which cleanse the liver and clear the skin. It also It promotes blood circulation which helps neutralize melanin, eliminates acne, and improve collagen synthesis which enhances skin elasticity. Aloe tea contains malic acid, tartaric acid, and vitamins B1, B2, and B16, which can make the skin glow. This concoction has anti-inflammatory properties. It can also improve the immune system, reduce blood lipids, and relieve symptoms of GERD.



For Best Brewing

Hot Tea
  250ml just-boiled water / 100°C water
  1 to 2 pieces / 2g – 3g
  3 to 5 minutes
   Add a teaspoon of honey or your preferred sweetener.
  Gradually increase steeping time and temperature for subsequent brewing. Good for 3 brews.

Iced Tea
  100ml just-boiled water / 100°C water
1 to 2 pieces / 2g – 3g
  3 to 5 minutes
Pour over glass with ice
 Add a teaspoon of honey or your preferred sweetener

Cold-Brew Iced Tea
  250ml room temperature or cold water
1 to 2 pieces / 2g – 3g
  Cover the pitcher and chill in the fridge for at least 6 hours, up to 24 hours. Lasts up to 3 to 5 days
Pour over glass with ice
 Add a teaspoon of honey or your preferred sweetener
