How does it taste?
Scintillate your taste buds! A fresh cup of golden-yellow, tangy lemon tea is the best way to wake up your mood and your senses. Breathe in the citrusy notes of sharp lemon and savour the tart, sourness on your palate. If you desire a hint of sweetness, add a dollop of raw honey.
Lemon tea acts an amazing detoxifier in the body. It cleanses the liver and flushes out toxins and waste. It aids digestion, assisting in weight loss. Lemon also contains Vitamin C, ideal for warding off common colds.
WATER: 250ml | TEMPERATURE: 90ºC | TEA: 1 – 2 pieces
Place 2 teaspoons of tea into your cup. Add water into your cup until leaves are fully submerged. Swirl your cup for 5 seconds and discard water. This is called the rinsing process. Add 250ml hot water and allow the tea to steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Add raw honey to taste. Gradually increase steeping time and temperature for subsequent brewing.
For iced tea, double the amount of tea and allow to steep for at least 5 minutes. Add ice and serve. Long brewing periods will render a bolder flavour. Re-steep 2 more times.
